As I was going through the readings, I couldn’t help but notice how much significance was going into the design of the website. In the reading “Chapter 4: Design Principles for Indigenous Learning Spaces“, reminded me how important it is to design your websites to help a specific audience. I have always wanted to be a soccer coach, my whole life I have been wanting to reach this dream and I was reminded of it because of this article. If I want to succeed as a coach, I must have a compelling story and website that is perfectly fitted for my audience. I hadn’t considered the importance of it beforehand. I can apply this to the university because I am in a lot of tech classes and many of them require well setup websites these readings helped me truly understand. On the other hand, outside the university, I could benefit a lot by creating areas and environments to help players feel more comfortable with reaching out to me and also to spread my name online. This will help a lot with my coaching dream. I related the readings to my personal reading quite a bit, I remember in my first year, many of the courses I took when half online and half face-to-face, although I was a bit nervous at first because I find it harder to ask for help. After a week or so, I adapted to it and actually enjoyed learning online a lot, it was quite nice to relax at home.
